To calibrate your BBQ thermometer, follow these simple steps:

  1. Boiling Water Test:

    • Bring water to a rolling boil.

    • Insert the thermometer probe without touching the pot sides.

    • It should read 100°C (212°F) at sea level.

  2. Ice Water Test:

    • Fill a glass with ice and cold water.

    • Insert the probe into the centre of the ice bath.

    • It should read 0°C (32°F).

  3. Adjust if Needed:

    • If your thermometer has a calibration screw or button, adjust it until it reads the correct temperature.

    • If it’s digital and doesn’t allow manual calibration, note the variance for accuracy.

Regular calibration ensures your thermometer stays reliable for perfectly cooked BBQ every time.
